Our U8’s played their first match of the season in the (Next Generation Super League) against Ryan FC Red. The boys ended the game victorious with a 4-0 win. Ocean-King opened Newham FC’s account with a composed finish in the first half followed by two great finishes from Sonny and a superb solo goal from our striker Abdul. With no goals conceded much credit had to be given to our CB‘s Daniel and new signing Alexander. Although Ryan FC Reds got a few shots on goal, Our GK Francesco was phenomenal letting nothing pass him. Last but not least Newham FC‘s Player of the match goes to Ilyas, who‘s work rate off the ball was brilliant, not only was he’s defensive game good, he also played a part in two goals getting an assist & almost scoring himself.

During the Summer holidays we held an award ceremony to acknowledge the hard work our players and development players have accomplished. Ocean-King was awarded (Top Goal Scorer) ending the season with 38 goals. Sonny was awarded (Player of the season) for a consistent high level performance throughout the season. Daniel was awarded (Most improved player) as we witnessed his confidence as a player grow match by match. Francesco was awarded the (Long service award). he’s commitment to football is unmatched and his sportsmanship and attitude on & off the pitch is amazing. That being said Newham FC would like to congratulate every single member of the club for their hard work and dedication to the sport we all love.
